ONLINE LEARNING THROUGH GOOGLE CLASSROOM

Members of Pelada FA have access to online training resources as well as team communication tools via the Google Classroom Suite. If you are new to Google Classrooms, please follow the step-by-step instructions below to get set up and access your player's Team Room.

ACCESS THE GOOGLE CLASSROOM SUITE

  • You will need a Google account. If your player has their own this would be best, but if not they can use yours.
  • If you don't have a Google account or would like to set a new one up for your player, you can do so via the "Create Google Account" link above.
  • In your browser, sign into the account that you wish to use to access Classroom.
  • Click the waffle icon (nine squares) in the upper right hand corner of your browser window and select Classroom from the drop down list of icons.

JOIN YOUR TEAM ROOM

  • From the Classroom Suite, click the +  icon in the top right corner.
  • Click "Join class."
  • Enter your class code and click "Join" (if you don't know your code, ask your coach).
  • Your Team Room will appear on your Classroom dashboard.
  • Have your player go through the Player Guide to Using Google Classroom (link above).
  • If you have issues or questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

QUESTIONANSWER
What are Team Rooms used for?Team Rooms give players access to team communication tools, team specific materials such as match video, online resources for training at home, and a wealth of resources curated by coaches to promote continued learning outside of the field environment.
Can my player sign into a Pelada Team Room using his or her school email?Probably not. Most student accounts have security settings that prevent them from being used for non-school login purposes.
Should I use my email account or my player's account to login? We strongly recommend your player uses his or her own account to access the Team Room.
What is the advantage of having players use their own accounts to login? The player's name will appear in the Team Room instead of the parent's, making it easier for coaches and teammates to identify and communicate with each other.
What if my player doesn't have his or her own Google account?Google accounts are free and take less than two minutes to set up. There is a link to get started at the top of this page. Make sure your player's name is entered the way you want it to appear in the Team Room.
